Barbara E. Smith, VMD
Co-Owner of Ark Animal Hospital and recently (2006) voted 1st place for the category of veterinarian in the Bucks Mont area and also voted one of America's Top Veterinarians by the Consumer's Research Council of America.  She is a 1978 graduate of The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr Smith loves working with owners and their pets to help them achieve the most wonderful long-lasting life together. She enjoys working with dogs, cats, reptiles, pocket pets and birds. Family practice is her specialty.  Dr.Smith also enjoys hiking with her husband and dogs and spending time with her 4 children.

 

Maureen Stokes,VMD

Dr. Stokes is a 1979 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine where she first met and became friends with Dr. Johnson and Dr. Smith. Dr. Stokes enjoys surgery and developing close relationships with clients and their pets. In her free time she enjoys gardening, biking, and walking her big galoot of a dog "Tucker".  She lives in Newtown with her husband Randy. Dr. Stokes has two children, a son who is an aspiring actor living in NYC and a daughter, who is attending college.

 

Dr. Scott Johnson, VMD
Scott  graduated from Bucknell University with a B.S. in Biology in 2004. He has now graduated from the Veterinary School at the University of Pennsylvania and joined our team in June, 2008 as our newest doctor. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and relaxing by the pool.

 

Debbie Hollenbach, DVM
Dr. Hollenbach is a 1992 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she worked in a small animal practice in Cincinnati, Ohio.  In 1996 her family relocated back to her home state of Pennsylvania and she started to work at The Ark Animal Hospital in 1997.  She lives with her husband Rich and their two son's Ricky and Jonathon. Her household currently includes two dog's Allie and George, three cats Boffo, Kitty Kong and Stripes. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, exploring new places with her sons, and creating scrapbooks/photo albums of their adventures.

 

Dr. Debra Lane
Dr. Lane comes to our office whenever we need ultrasounds done on our client's pets.  Her nickname is "Serenity".  She also LOVES Chocolate and loves to travel.

 

Philip Svor, DVM
Dr. Phil joined the Ark Animal Hospital team in October 2006.  Phil is a New England native, hailing from the State of Maine.  He completed his undergraduate studies at Colby College in Waterville, Maine in 1996 with a BA in Biology and then completed his Veterinary Degree at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama in 2000. In the past 6 years, he has practiced in Connecticut, New Jersy, and in Quakertown and Newtown in Bucks County.  Dr. Svor shares his home with his wife who is also a veterinarian, his rottweiler named Soren, a pointer named Rizzo, 5 cats and also his son  Brady and his daughter Gillian.

 

Sandra Ryan, Receptionist/Managers Assistant

Sandra has worked at the Ark Animal Hospital since 1993, starting part-time. She started full time in 2002. Sandra has one daughter and two grandchildren. She currently has a Boxer named Sierra who is 10 years old. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and going to their sports events, antiquing, and gardening. Sandi has also joined a Red Hat Group, the Scarlett O'Hatters of Lansdale and enjoys going to group events.

Tim Johnson, Hospital Manager
Tim has graduated from Temple University with a major in biology.  He will continue his education to get his MBA in Business Administration.  Outside of work, his interests include boating, kickboxing, fishing, hiking with his dogs, and spending time with his friends. 

 

Lori Hanlon, Veterinary Technician
Lori has been working for Ark Animal Hospital since 1996. She is married and has two young children Dean and Margo. She enjoys Yoga, gardening and reading. She also enjoys hiking with her dog Jammi and cuddling her 'Lil' orange kitty "Dash".

 

 

Maureen Kett- Veterinary Assistant
Maureen is currently in her 2nd year at the hospital.  She very much enjoys working with the animals and their owners.  She is a veterinary assistant .  When she is not working, she enjoys being home with her cats Jennie and Seamus.

 

Jennifer Weigand- Veterinary Assistant
Jennifer graduated with a degree in early childhood education and she worked with children for over ten years. She has recently decided to pursue another interest which is  working with animals. Jennifer enjoys meeting all of the animals and their owners at the Ark. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, running, and spending time with her friends and family, which includes her two cats Missy and Fluffy 

 

Kelly Morris, VeterinaryTechnician
Kelly has returned to us on a full time basis as a surgical technician.  She has worked in this field for more than ten years and is devoted to animals of all kinds.  She shares her home with her big black and white cat named Trouble.  Kelly is a devoted Flyers/Eagles fan.  She is a certified scuba diver who enjoys warm water and ice diving.  She enjoys spending time with her nieces and also loves to travel.  Welcome Back Kelly!

 

Danielle Keisling- Veterinary Assistant
  1. Danielle joined the Ark staff in September of 2006.  She graduated from Houghton College with a BA in art and a minor in equestrian studies, and somehow always seems to end up working with animals.  She has one dog, two cats and three gerbils.  In her spare time she enjoys walking with her husband (and dog), drawing, reading and riding horses. 

 

Lori V - Veterinary Assistant
Lori joined the hospital team in October of 2006.

 

Lauren Johnson, Assistant Manager

Lauren recently graduated from Temple University in January 2008. She is currently working on creating new programs in the hospital for your pets, such as a weight management program and a newsletter for our clients. She also works as a receptionist. Her outside interests are running, photography, and spending time with her friends. She recently adopted a great dane/ lab mix puppy named Layla.

 

Megan Lugara, Receptionist
Megan joined our team in  August 2005. Megan started with us as a full time receptionist, but is currently part-time as her full time job now is a mother to her son Trevor born in September 2006 .   Megan lives in Montgomery township with her husband Tim. Megan has a golden retriever named "Tucker" and a new kitten named "Simba". Megan enjoys walking with Tucker, going up to the mountains and spending time with family and friends.

 

Ashley Irick, Receptionist
Ashley joined the hospital team in August 2005. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Among other hobbies, she is an avid hiker, and enjoys any and every outdoor activity.  She also enjoys spending time with the newest member of her family, her son Hunter born in July 2006. Ashley looks forward to meeting you and your pets.

 

Penny Fetzer, Receptionist
Welcome back Penny.  Penny previously worked at Ark Animal Hospital for 2 1/2 years, took a break and has just returned in August of 2006 as a part-time receptionist.  She lives in Chalfont with her husband and three dogs.  She has two St. Bernards and a Newfoundland, named Sage, Bailey and Casey.  Penny loves all animals, but her heart belongs to the large breed.  In her free time she enjoys reading, running, spending time with her dogs and is also a certified scuba diver.
